Homicide ruled out for body found in river

BENTON HARBOR Homicide has been ruled out as the cause of death for a man found in the St. Joseph River.

A dive team found the body of 34 year-old Dewayne Charles Flowers in November 2013. At the time, those divers said there were ankle weights attached to Flowers’ body. According to The Herald Palladium, police say Flowers was wearing a tracking teacher, as a condition of parole

Toxicology results are still being processed in the case.
