An 84-year-old Holland woman has realized her dream - of jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet.

Edna Doyle went skydiving on Friday at Allegan City Airport.

The Holland Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/Pre7q2) Doyle got the chance to skydive through Wish of a Lifetime, a foundation that helps seniors fulfill their dreams.

Doyle, a resident of Holland retirement community Freedom Village, wasn't alone when she took the plunge. A Skydive Allegan instructor was strapped to her back.

Two buses full of fellow Freedom Village residents made the trip to watch Doyle skydive.

Of her journey from 10,000 feet, Doyle says: "The view was lovely."
