A 39-year-old man is scheduled to return to court in the slayings and dismemberments of a suburban Detroit couple in their home.

Roger Bowling's preliminary examination will continue Monday in Allen Park District Court.

The torsos and some body parts belonging to 32-year-old of Danielle Greenway and 42-year-old Chris Hall were found July 17 in the Detroit River and a canal off the waterway.

Greenway and Hall had allowed Bowling to move into their Allen Park home a few weeks earlier.

Defense lawyer Mark L. Brown has said there's no eye-witness testimony linking Bowling to the killings. Brown also said the victims had a large marijuana-growing operation that could have motivated someone else to kill them.
