Testimony is scheduled to resume in the preliminary examination of a suburban Detroit man accused of killing and dismembering a couple who allowed him to live in their home.
Roger Bowling is charged with murder in the shooting deaths of 32-year-old Danielle Greenway and 42-year-old Chris Hall.
The hearing is to decide whether there is enough evidence to order Bowling to face trial.
The torsos of Greenway and Hall were found July 17 in the Detroit River and a canal feeding into the waterway on Detroit's east side. Other remains were found submerged near a seawall in the river.
Authorities say Greenway and Hall were killed in their Allen Park home, west of Detroit.
Bowling had been staying there as a guest. He and Greenway had a previous relationship.
