A hearing resumes in two weeks for a man accused of killing a suburban-Detroit couple, dismembering their bodies and dumping them in the Detroit River.
Authorities say 39-year-old Roger Bowling killed 32-year-old of Danielle Greenway and 42-year-old Chris Hall, who'd allowed him to move into their Allen Park home a few weeks earlier.
The body parts were found July 17 near the Detroit-Grosse Pointe Park border.
Defense lawyer Mark L. Brown says there's no eye-witness testimony linking Bowling to the killings. Brown also says the victims had a large marijuana-growing operation that could have motivated someone else to kill them.
A preliminary examination began Monday to decide if there's enough evidence to try Bowling for first-degree murder. It continues Aug. 20 in Allen Park District Court.
