A charter school student in Grand Rapids has been arrested after having a loaded .38-caliber handgun in the building.
Grand Rapids police say they found the gun on the 15-year-old at The Lighthouse Charter Academy.
School staff called police about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after learning the student had a concealed weapon. The boy is being held at the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center.
