Grand Rapids police release name of slain boy, 16

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Grand Rapids police have released the name of a 16-year-old boy who was killed in a drive-by shooting over the weekend.

Police said Tuesday that the victim was city resident Louis E. Gonzalez.

MLive.com the shooting happened about 12:20 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses tell police that Gonzalez was standing on the sidewalk when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. They say at least three people were in the vehicle.

Police haven't reported any suspects in the case and are asking for help in solving the killing.
