YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder has announced two appointments to the Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents.
The Republican governor's office said Tuesday that Mary Treder Lang, of Grosse Pointe Farms, and James "Jim" Webb, of Farmington, are being appointed to eight-year terms that expire Dec. 31, 2020. Their appointments to the eight-person board are subject to state Senate approval.
Treder Lang is director of new business development for Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, an accounting and advisory firm. She replaces Roy Wilbanks, the Board of Regents' current chairman. Webb is chairman of Aon Risk Services Inc. of Michigan. He replaces Thomas Sidlik, who previously served as regents' chairman.
Wilbanks and Sidlik both were appointed to the Board of Regents by former Gov. Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat.
