Neighbors who have spent months protesting plans to build a CVS could have a new problem to worry about.
The Florin Funeral Home in St. Joseph tells reporting partners at WSJM that if CVS cannot move in, they have a back-up plan to sell it as a gas station.
The gas station would not require any rezoning, and that means there will not be any public hearings for neighbors to protest.
CVS has not backed out of the deal yet. However, they are facing a lot of pushback from neighbors who are worried about traffic.
The Florin Funeral Home is moving to the site of the old St. Joseph Auto Drive-in Theater.
