IONIA, Mich. The wife of one of two men killed at a West Michigan car wash is heard during a 911 call saying the shooting resulted from "road rage."

A crying Teri Pullum says in a recording obtained by MLive.com and The Detroit News that her 43-year-old husband, James Pullum, "got in a fight and the guy pulled a gun on him."

When an unidentified person at the scene asks Pullum what happened, she responds "road rage."

Police say James Pullum and a 56-year-old Robert Taylor exchanged gunfire about 7 p.m. Wednesday at the car wash in Ionia, about 30 miles northwest of Lansing.

Police say the shooting stemmed from an earlier confrontation while they were driving in the area.

James Pullum and Taylor each had valid licenses to carry concealed weapons.
