Benton harbor's new emergency manager officially begins his duties Friday.
Reporting partners at the Herald Palladium say it will be the first full day on the job for Tony Saunders.
Saunders has many meetings with city commissioners and employees Friday, and he's been visiting the city two or three times a week ever since he was appointed on January 11th.
He says he'll work with residents to determine whether or not to continue former emergency financial manager Joseph Harris's request for a $3.9 million loan from the state.
He will hold a town hall-style meeting February 11th.
