A fire destroyed a home in Starke County on Tuesday.

WKVI reports that the home, located at the intersection of 200 North and 900 West in Grovertown, went up in flames around 2:30 in the afternoon.

The homeowners were home at the time, but they don't know yet what caused the fire.

Despite that terrible damage, the blaze was contained in about half an hour. No injuries are reported.

Meanwhile a family in Kosciusko County is mourning the loss of several pets that died in a house fire in Burket.

The Stacey Page Online reports that the fire happened in the 3600 block of State Road 25 around 4:30p.m.

The fire started in the basement, and the family wasn't home at the time. A cat, dog, and multiple puppies died from smoke inhalation.
