The FBI says a 2009 indictment against a Canadian citizen accused of using a fake passport to try to get into Israel and conduct a bombing has been unsealed because the man recently was added to the list of most wanted terror suspects.

Detroit FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said Thursday the decision to unseal the indictment against 44-year-old Faouzi Ayoub
on July 1 was made because he was added to the terror list two days
earlier.

The indictment charges the Lebanese-born Ayoub with passport fraud. It says he wanted to gain entry into Israel and conduct a bombing on behalf of the Islamic militant group Hezbollah.

Berchtold says Ayoub is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information about him should contact the FBI or nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
