Jurors at Kwame Kilpatrick's federal corruption trial have seen a video of the ex-Detroit mayor's father taking a case of Cristal champagne from a businessman needing a favor.

Kwame and Bernard Kilpatrick and Bobby Ferguson are accused of extortion and bribery.

James Rosendall testified Thursday that he repeatedly paid cash to Bernard Kilpatrick to protect a $1 billion city contract. Jurors also saw a video of Bernard Kilpatrick criticizing Rosendall for trying to give him $2,500 in a restaurant, calling it too public.

Houston-based Synagro Technologies was hired in 2007 to recycle wastewater sludge and build an incinerator. The deal collapsed after disclosure that Rosendall paid bribes to win City Council approval.

He pleaded guilty in 2009.

Rosendall says he flew Kwame Kilpatrick and others to Las Vegas in 2003.
