A Dowagiac woman has been charged with embezzlement for stealing more than $60,000 from the dentist office where she worked.
The Herald Palladium reports that 45-year-old Vicki Zachary also faces fraud charges for writing false prescriptions for herself. She was caught when a pharmacist called the dentist with questions about a Hydrocodone prescription.
Zachary was an office manager at the dental office for 15 years.
She faces 15 years in prison and penalties of up to $180,000 if convicted.
