Michiana residents can dance the day away while helping out underprivileged children.

Haitian Support Ministry is holding a Zumba fundraiser on Sunday. The event is held at Tu Sei Bella, a dance studio in Granger.

Anyone interested in attending should head to the big white tent located in front of the studio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

It costs $10 for anyone pre-registering for the classes, $15 at the door, and $5 for students. Proceeds from today will go straight to the ministry.

The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of the poorest children in Haiti. They’ve built and support two orphanages in the country and sponsor several nutrition centers which feed hundreds of children each day.

Most Haitian children are undernourished and very ill. They also face hardships like abuse and natural disasters.

Some of the money raised will go toward a mission’s trip the group has planned in October.
