A Craigslist thief is terrorizing Benton Township.

Police say they had two reports last week of a man arranging meetings to buy merchandise from local sellers. When they arrive, he holds them at gun point and steals the products.

Police say both meetings were arranged in the parking lot of Briarwood Apartments on Union Street.

WSJM reports that the man got hold of the stolen goods by saying he wanted to inspect it before buying.

No shots were fired, and no one has been hurt.

The suspect is described as a 6’1, light-skinned, African American male. The victims say he has a thin build and looks to be in his 20's. He had side burns that reached down to his chin.

Anyone with any information should contact Benton Township Police.
