One of the reactors at the Cook Nuclear Plant is going offline this week.
WSJM reports that they're shutting down Unit 1 for refueling Tuesday.
This shutdown breaks records for the plant. At 518 consecutive days running, it's the longest the reactor has ever been online. The previous record of 471 days was set in 1994.
The reactor will be out for an entire month, with crews working around the clock.
They'll also install new monitoring equipment and two new transformers.
