BERRIEN COUNTY A man convicted of sexually assaulting two boys over several years will spend a minimum of 60 years in prison

The Herald Palladium reports that if he is ever let out on parole, Jerry Klatt, Jr. will have to wear an electronic monitor device.

The judge says it is the worst child sex abuse case he has ever dealt with. Both boys were under age 13 at the time of the crime. One of the victims wrote a letter to the Berrien County Court, saying he hoped Katt would be put away for life because he was afraid Katt might kill him.

Katt, 35, has three prior felony convictions, but he denies the victims' claims.
