BENTON HARBOR Benton Harbor has officially agreed to let a conservancy look over city parks.

WSJM reports that they're following guidelines from a 1996 resolution, which sets a goal of using local contractors for at least 25 percent of the work.

The aim is to keep the parks a community place, and to fix up rundown areas.

The agreement covers 10 years with an additional 10 year option.
