The U.S. Coast Guard says a crew from its St. Clair Shores station has rescued nine people from a flooding boat on Lake St. Clair.

The Coast Guard says it got a call about 11:45 a.m. Saturday that a boat was disabled in the lake and needed help.

It says two other boats were on the scene when the Coast Guard crew arrived and took the nine people aboard their 33-foot rescue craft.

The Coast Guard says no one was hurt, and the disabled boat was towed to a launch site in Macomb County's Harrison Township, near Mount Clemens.
