Western Michigan authorities say they believe a 25-year-old clerk was abducted as she prepared to close the gas station where she worked.
Police in the Muskegon suburb of Norton Shores are seeking clues in the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa.
MLive.com and WOOD-TV report that Norton Shores police Chief Dan Shaw said Sunday it appears Heeringa was preparing to close the Exxon Mobil gas Friday night. Police say customers found the station open but no employees around.
Police say they found Heeringa's purse with cash inside and say no money was missing from the register.
Police say they're searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country. They say the driver was a white man ages 30-40, about 6 feet tall, with center-parted light brown wavy hair.
