Pro-union Christmas carolers have brought their opposition to right-to-work legislation to Gov. Rick Snyder's home near Ann Arbor.

AnnArbor.com reports that about 35 people gathered Monday night outside Snyder's gated community in Washtenaw County's Superior Township.

The news site says the group sang "Jingle Bells," ''Joy to the World" and an adapted version of "The 12 Days of Christmas" with children learning, autoworkers welding, police protecting, shoppers shopping, teachers teaching, families eating and firefighters saving.

The singing protest came one day ahead of a day of mass union demonstrations at the Michigan Capitol, where the Republican-controlled Legislature is poised to vote on making Michigan a right-to-work state.

Dave Kreisman is a spokesman for the Snyder house protest and says participants object to the rush to pass the measure.
