Jay Farr is presumed drowned, eight months after he entered the
water in Northport to retrieve a dinghy. The dinghy and Farr's
canoe were discovered miles away on the Antrim County side of the
bay.
Cathy Kelly tells the Traverse City Record-Eagle (http://bit.ly/LI3kYP) that she goes to the water each day to tell the 58-year-old Farr that she loves and misses him. They worked together at an assisted-living center in Northport, 30 miles north of Traverse City.
Leelanau County Undersheriff Scott Wooters says finding a body
in Grand Traverse Bay is extremely difficult because of wind, weather and the depth of the water.
