A central Indiana man faces three felony counts in connection with the fatal shooting of a Michigan youth playing paintball on his property.
Indiana conservation officers say a grand jury indicted 41-year-old Jason Bagley of Shelbyville on two counts of criminal recklessness and one count of obstruction of justice Friday. He late surrendered at the Shelby County jail. It's not clear whether he's still in custody or if he has an attorney.
Seventeen-year-old Brandon Spangler of Flushing, Mich., died after being shot Dec. 30. He was in Indiana during a school break with his father.
Bagley has said he allowed the Spangles to play paintball on his property about 25 miles southeast of Indianapolis but didn't know they were there when he thought he was shooting at coyotes.
