A 12-year-old boy is the winner of a fish-naming contest in Port Huron.
As a result, Joey Linert's choice - Popeye - will stand as the official moniker of the large metal musky sculpture in front of the Ennis Center for Children.
The adoption and foster care agency organized the "name the fish" contest.
Joey tells the Times Herald for a story Saturday he didn't think he'd win, but figured he'd give it a shot.
Between 50 and 60 entries were submitted.
Artist Greg Lashbrook handpicked Joey's suggestion, partially because the musky sculpture has a bulging eye.
