The body of a 75-year-old woman has been found in a Kalamazoo County home where firefighters discovered high levels of carbon monoxide.

MLive.com reports that autopsy results for Lulubell Vanwezema still are pending.

Relatives called police Thursday afternoon after finding Vanwezema's body in her Cooper Township home. They also reported a strange smell coming from the home, north of Kalamazoo in West Michigan.

Authorities say she was seen earlier in the day by relatives.

Vanwezema's death remains under investigation.
