A 27-year-old man is recovering after a Sunday afternoon tubing accident on Lake Chapin in Berrien County.
Police say the Chicago native was riding on a tube behind a personal watercraft when the driver of that boat reportedly swung too close to an anchored boat, striking the man in the tube. The driver of the boat, a 25-year-old man, is also from Chicago.
Family members took the injured man to Lakeland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The situation remains under investigation; however officials have confirmed alcohol and drugs did not factor in this accident.
