Some career technology education programs at Benton Harbor Schools are being scaled back.

BENTON HARBOR Some career technology education programs at Benton Harbor Schools are being scaled back.

The Herald Palladium reports that the board has laid off a culinary arts teacher and a health teacher.

However there is good news for a teacher who was laid off in June. Donald Pearson, an 8th grade English and social studies teacher, was called back to work.

The board also voted to hire an interim principal and interim turnaround high school principal.
