Organizers of the annual ArtPrize contest in Grand Rapids are getting ready to announce details of what entries have been selected for this year's event.
An announcement is planned for Thursday evening.
Catherine Creamer, executive director of ArtPrize, says there have been more than 2,000 entries submitted this year and nearly 200 venues are participating.
This year's event is scheduled for Sept. 19 to Oct. 7. Total prize money is $550,000. Some winners are picked by public voting and other prizes are juried awards.
