Direct-sales giant Amway Corp. plans to spend up to $81 million to build a new facility in West Michigan to produce nutritional products.
MLive.com, The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press report the company on Wednesday got approval for $1.6 million related to the project from the Michigan Economic Development Corp. The development in Kent County's Ada Township, outside Grand Rapids,
could add 200 jobs.
The project is part of a broader $180 million investment to expand manufacturing and processing capacity for vitamin, mineral and dietary supplements.
