AARP says Michigan has many livable communities for older people, and expects the number of baby boomers to retire in Michigan to increase by 40 percent by 2030.
They also say the state isn't ready for that influx, yet. Michigan is one of seven pilot states selected by AARP to help improve communities for an older population.
