A Kalamazoo County sheriff's deputy suspended for photos on MySpace.com says he was set up by the people he was helping.

The photos show people posing suggestively in and around his patrol vehicle.

Sheriff Michael Anderson says the deputy told investigators he allowed the people to sit in his patrol vehicle while waiting for a wrecker for their disabled car.

The officer says the pictures were taken while he was distracted.

Anderson says a man in the photos contacted him yesterday to say the officer wasn't aware of what was happening.

The deputy is not in any of the suggestive photos. But he does appear in two other photos, dressed in uniform.

Anderson says the department will try to validate the story.
