A 30-year-old suburban Detroit woman has been charged with conspiracy to assault after authorities say she drove her 16-year-old daughter to fight a 14-year-old schoolmate.
Kiesha Patterson of Mount Clemens was arraigned Monday in District Court in Macomb County's Clinton Township on the conspiracy charge and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was released on a $5,000 personal bond.
There was no working telephone listing for Patterson in Mount Clemens. A court hearing was set for June 2.
Authorities say both teens attend Mount Clemens High School and Patterson drove her daughter March 23 to find the other girl. Sheriff Mark Hackel said Patterson encouraged the assault while her daughter hit the girl.
The daughter could face juvenile court charges.
