Auto parts supplier Federal-Mogul says it's eliminating another 4,600 jobs, or 10 percent of its work force.
The Southfield-based company previously announced in September it would eliminate 4,000 jobs in response to the weakening demand for automobiles.
Federal-Mogul says the new round of cutbacks will cost it $80 million by the end of 2009. The company didn't disclose the facilities affected by the latest restructuring.
As of April, Federal-Mogul's sales to the Detroit-based automakers accounted for just 8.9 percent of its North American and less than 13 percent of its global totals.
