Grand Rapids hockey fans give Obama doll the nod

With the presidential campaign entering its final days, minor league hockey fans in Grand Rapids have already given the nod to Barack Obama.

Or,at least, to a bobblehead figure of the Democratic nominee.

The last of 1,000 free Obama bobbleheads was taken Saturday before the Grand Rapids Griffins played the Milwaukee Admirals, with 102 John McCain dolls going unclaimed.

That gave Obama the edge over his Republican rival in the American Hockey League club's "Bobble the Vote '08" giveaway.

A Griffins official says neither candidate should get too big a head over the contest.
