Friday kicks off the 2nd season for the Harbor Market in Benton Harbor.
40 vendors will be on location displaying an array of locally made goods, area produce, homegrown charitable organizations and micro-businesses in the area.
The market is designed to support, promote and grow farms and small business in Benton Harbor through a no-fee, outdoor setup. The platform is meant to give people the opportunity to earn income, test new business plans, and engage with other vendors in a market environment. It was founded by Bob and Julie Montgomery, as a way to help promote business in a city struggling during tough economic times.
Harbor Market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.mm. at 510 West Main Street in Benton Harbor. Vendor space and admission is free.
