A tricky, more-than 20-mile unicycle ride from Midland to Bay City ended up raising some good money for an area church.

The Midland Daily News reports 44-year-old Pastor Dana Simmons of Bay City's Calvary Worship Center, his 16-year-old son Seth and 15-year-old friend Martin Morales of Saginaw all rode Saturday from Dow Diamond in Midland to the church.

Their ride, which took about 5 1/2 hours, raised $1,500 in pledges for the church.

For the ride, friends in a pickup truck put a sign on the truck's tailgate cautioning motorists that there were unicycles ahead.

At the church, they were greeted by members holding banners and cheering.
