A newspaper reports Chrysler and the United Auto Workers union have faced dozens of sexual harassment and discrimination claims by workers at the Toledo North Assembly Plant.
The Detroit Free Press reports Sunday that over the past four years nine federal lawsuits have been filed in Toledo, Ohio against Chrysler regarding claims of sexual harassment at the Jeep plant.
The newspaper also says 73 charges of civil rights violations have been filed with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
Chrysler LLC spokesman Mike Palese says the automaker "has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind in any of its facilities and offices around the world." He says all claims are fully investigated.
In court records, UAW Local 12 has denied wrongdoing.
