117,000 still blacked out after Michigan storms

About 117,000 homes and businesses remain without power after thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail, strong winds and lightning swept across lower Michigan.

CMS Energy says about 112,000 of its customers have no electricity, and it says and power in some areas won't be restored until Sunday.

About 5,000 DTE Energy customers are without power, and some will have to wait till tomorrow to get it back.

The storms hit Wednesday, and wind gusts reached 87 miles per hour near South Haven.
