BATTLE CREEK, Mich. A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an intentionally set house fire that killed an 8-year-old West Michigan girl.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that the man is to be arraigned Wednesday on a felony murder charge.

A 27-year-old man is to be charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Karrina Johnson died at a hospital after a firefighter pulled her last November from the burning home in Battle Creek, about 50 miles southeast of Grand Rapids. Two of her siblings escaped the blaze by jumping from a second-floor window.

Police say an accelerant was used to start the fire on an enclosed porch.

The fire followed an argument between Karrina's mother and a man during a birthday party at another home.
