HARSENS ISLAND, Mich. Two people are dead after a boat crashed into another boat off Harsens Island in St. Clair County.

The sheriff's office says a 25-foot Baja boat went over a cabin cruiser Sunday, killing a 57-year-old man from Chesterfield Township and a 68-year-old woman from Canada. Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.

Three people were taken to a hospital, including a 62-year-old woman who is in critical condition. All were aboard the cabin cruiser.

No one in the Baja boat was hurt. Harsens Island is in Lake St. Clair at south end of the St. Clair River, 50 miles northeast of Detroit.
