West Michigan authorities say they've arrested two men in the death of a longtime Grand Valley State University student adviser whose body was found at a home last month.
Grand Rapids police say officers and an FBI task force arrested the 24-year-old Grand Rapids men on Tuesday in the death of 50-year-old Santiago Zapata, whose body was found Sept. 25.
Names weren't immediately released, pending formal charges from the Kent County prosecutor's office.
Police have said that "traumatic injuries" led to Zapata's death and his vehicle initially was missing. That vehicle later was found by police.
Grand Valley State University says Zapata was a 19-year employee with its education college.
The Grand Rapids Press says Zapata was the first of 10 children in a migrant family to attend college.
