Authorities say two imprisoned Detroit men have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a 30-year-old Southfield man in a shopping mall parking lot.
The Detroit News says 20-year-old Demetrius Edwards and 26-year-old Bryant Royster are accused of shooting Cedell Leverett in a parking lot outside the mall in Harper Woods, north of Detroit.
Police say Leverett was shot four times and died at the scene.
Edwards is in prison for a 2012 armed robbery, and Royster is serving a sentence for assault with intent to murder in a 2011 gun attack.
The suspects are jailed without bond and return to court for a preliminary examination Dec. 5.
