Michigan gas prices are on the rise, jumping 4 cents during the past week.
AAA Michigan reports Monday that the statewide average of $3.02 is 81 cents a gallon higher than last year at this time.
The state's highest prices at the pump can be found in Marquette, where it costs drivers $3.09 a gallon to fill up.
The auto club says the cheapest gas is in the Saginaw/Bay City area at $2.95 per gallon. Motorists in the Detroit area are paying $3.
The statewide average for biodiesel is $3.40 and $2.72 for ethanol.
