Police have closed an investigation into a brawl at a Genesee County Chuck E. Cheese restaurant.

Undersheriff James Gage tells The Flint Journal that no formal complaint has been filed in the Jan. 26 flight at the Flint Township pizzeria.

Gage says police used pepper spray to break up a crowd of 20 to 30 people at the restaurant, and no arrests were made.

Police say the brawl started with three teenage girls, but escalated.

Witness Margie Waters says police ordered everyone out of the restaurant but didn't take any statements.

Flint Township records show police have been called to the restaurant 36 times since the start of 2007.

Chuck E. Cheese restaurants feature games and are popular locations for child birthday parties.
