Jackson Public Schools officials have suspended an 11-year-old boy they say choked a 10-year-old girl on a school bus.

District transportation director Craig Frazier says officials reviewed a tape of Tuesday's incident, which happened after the bus left Dibble Elementary School. He says officials then gave the boy a 15-day suspension.

Frazier tells the Jackson Citizen Patriot the district is investigating other complaints that could result in the boy's banning from school buses.

Jackson County Undersheriff Thomas Finco says prosecutors plan to bring juvenile assault charges against the boy.
