A man accused of setting fire to his sister's farmhouse is jailed in Macomb County.
Loyce Crews surrendered to police early Thursday and was arraigned later on one count of arson. He was being held on a $10,000 bond.
Police say the 39-year-old Crews used gasoline and diesel fuel to start the Wednesday fire at the home of his 41-year-old sister, Dawn Crews. Neither Dawn Crews nor her two children were inside the house at the time.
The Times Herald of Port Huron says Loyce Crews faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted as charged.
Sheriff's officials couldn't say Thursday evening whether Loyce Crews has a lawyer, and they wouldn't discuss a possible motive.
