Democratic National Party votes to strip MI of delegates

The Democratic National Party voted to strip Michigan of its national convention delegates in a move the state's senior Senator called "hollow."

Democratic leaders stripped Michigan of its 156 delegates because the early primary goes against party rules.

Michigan has scheduled a January 15th primary.

The Democratic Party says only Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina can have parties before February 5th.

Senator Carl Levin says democratic delegates will be seated at the convention.
