The latest round of progress reports for Michigan's public schools soon will be available.

The Michigan Department of Education plans to release reports for high schools and school districts on Friday. The data measuring adequate yearly progress in academic subjects is required by the federal No Child Left Behind Act.

The main measure of progress is scores on standardized tests taken by students in several grade levels.
